Lauterbrunnen BE 800m

Lauterbrunnen is situated in the most impressive glaciated valley of the Alps. 795 meters above sea level with the most beautiful mountains at his doorway. Part of UNESCO world natural heritage Jungfrau / Aletsch / Bietschhorn are our surroundings. The village's name says everything about our unique landscape. Lauterbrunnen means "many fountains". Throughout the entire valley, a total of 72 waterfalls cascade from the mountains.

Hostels


Valley Hostel

The Valley Hostel is centrally located in town nestled in a magnificent mountain world, surrounded by 72 waterfalls. All shops and restaurants are closer then 50 meters from our hostel. We have single, twin and double, triple and family rooms as well as 4, 5, 6 and 8 bed dorm rooms. All rooms have a nice view to the mountains and famous waterfalls. Shower and toilets are on every floor.




How to get to Lauterbrunnen

Public Transport: International trains ( ECE, EC, IC) travel to Interlaken East. Then change trains to the Bernese-Oberland-Railway, which will bring you to Lauterbrunnen in just 20 minutes. For travelling in Switzerland we recommend rail passes by Swiss Travel System.

By car: Take the motorway to Interlaken. Take the Wilderswil exit to travel on good class roads to Lauterbrunnen. In winter most of the time there is no snow on the road, but winter tires are recommended.
