Hostel

The Basel YMCA Hostel supplies 103 beds in 24 rooms. In addition to 13 private rooms (single, double and three bed rooms) the hostel offers 11 shared rooms (8-bed and 5-bed rooms).

All rooms are equipped with a washbasin, hot water and a mirror. Each bed is provided with a locker. The toilets and showers are located on each floor.

Our hostel is equipped to host families and groups and features a room accessible for the handicapped.

Location

The YMCA Hostel Basel is located at Gempenstrasse 64, only about 300 meters from the SBB Basel railstation exit Gundeldingen, in a peaceful back street with courtyard.

From the Euroairport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg: Take the airportbus number 50 at the airport, which takes you to the railway station Basel SBB. Enter the station and leave it at the backside. Walk straight into the Gempenstrasse. We are number 64 (4 minutes walking).

From the railwaystation Basel SBB: Leave the railway station Basel SBB at the backside and walk straight into the Gempenstrasse. We are number 64 (4 minutes walking).

By car: Our hostel is situated on the backside of the railway station Basel SBB. If you stop in front of the hostel, we can help you to find a parking within the quarter.

If you arrive by bus, we will help you to find a space for parking the bus nearby.
