Braunwald GL 1250m

The carfree holiday resort of Braunwald is situated in the most southern part of canton Glarus, easily accessible by train and funicular. Its southeastern location high above the Linth valley provides it with far more sunny days than any other town in Switzerland north of the alps.

Up on 1'300 m Braunwald is far away from all hectic life and traffic. The wonderful panorama of the glarner alps together with its local pics such as Ortstock, Tödi, Biferten and Hausstock are so close you mean to be touching them.

Arrive on a beautiful sunny winterday in the tiny village of Braunwald, which is deeply covered in snow, and you know immediately why people talk about a fairy world in real when refering to Braunwald.

Enjoy this wonderful mountain region under a stale blue sky whether you are a skier, snowboarder, hiker and of course, if you prefer a tobaggoning run you can do that too.

The region is famous for its incredible climbing steep track (www.klettersteige.ch) Please keep in mind, that even though it's prepared, it's still meant for people who are experienced climbers.
